If we want to obtain His love, then sacrifices are needed to be done. Surely it is hard, but if we do it with pure intentions, Allah will never lead us astray.
One of the sacrifices is to put a large chunk of worldly love in your heart away, not throw it away, but putting it in the future. Thus, it will not rot away by devilish scheme, rather it will bloom by Allah's scheme.
Eventually, when that part of your heart is put into the future, the rest of your mind and body will move forward to that future. But it moves forward not because of worldly desire, no.
It will eventually be for Allah, since we put it away to the future for Allah.
